UPSC Aspirants Death News LIVE Updates: After three UPSC aspirants died due to flooding of the basement at Rau’s IAS coaching institute in Delhi’s Old Rajinder Nagar, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Sunday sealed seven properties and three basements for violating building bye-laws in Karol Bagh Zone.
The corporation’s crackdown against properties violating building bylaws has come in response to the harrowing incident that occurred on Saturday evening, triggering massive protests by students in the Old Rajender Nagar area.
Meanwhile, Lok Sabha members cutting across party lines on Monday demanded an inquiry into the tragic incident, with the BJP blaming the city’s AAP government for the tragic incident. Rajya Sabha is also discussing the matter.
BJP leader and New Delhi Lok Sabha MP Bansuri Swaraj blamed the AAP’s “utter apathy” for the death of the students and demanded that an inquiry committee under the Home Ministry be set up to probe the incident.
The owner and the coordinator of the Rau’s IAS Study Circle, and 5 others have been arrested and booked for culpable homicide and other charges. Police is likely question MCD officials

UPSC Aspirants Death News LIVE: Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj slams LG VK Saxena for ‘doing politics’
UPSC Aspirants Death News LIVE: Delhi Minister and AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj has lashed out at Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena for ‘doing politics’.
“When the LG (VK Saxena) went there (Old Rajinder Nagar), slogans were raised against him…the students rejected him there. I think that in such a sensitive matter, he should not have gone there to do politics. So many murders happen in Delhi, it is a police matter which comes directly under the Lieutenant Governor, but he never went there…he went there to do politics, so the students rejected him there,” said Delhi Minister and AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj.
